Nighttime is the Right Time

Ladies and gents we must really take the time to get sleep and untwine. We have the make time our best friend by remembering the nighttime is the right time to allow the mind to be in its peaceful form. My family and I learning the importance of coming home, spending time with the family, cooking dinner. We realized that we could order in, by the time we decide to place that order and wait 40 minutes. We can thaw out the meat of our choice, the veggies and make the magic happen. Believe it or not a family that cook together, usually stay together.


We work; we come home, spend time with our most favorite people in the world, enjoy our supper and call it a night. I have to remind my daughter to make sure that she tries to get at least 8 hours of quality sleep each night. This is when the body is able to heal itself, it is able to able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

Here's a more detailed look at what happens when we reward the body, mind and soul with rest:

  • Brain:

    Your brain remains active during sleep, processing information from the day and building memories. It also clears out toxins that accumulate during wakefulness. 

  • Muscles:

    Muscles relax, including your heart, which lowers heart rate and blood pressure, giving your circulatory system a rest. 

  • Immune System:

    Sleep strengthens the immune system, helping it fight off infections and reduce inflammation. 

  • Metabolism:

    Hormones involved in hunger and fullness (ghrelin and leptin) function properly during sleep, promoting healthy eating habits. 

  • Repair and Regeneration:

    The body repairs cells and tissues, especially during deep sleep. Growth hormones, essential for development in children and adolescents, are also released during sleep. 

  • Overall Health:

    Adequate sleep can reduce the risk of chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. It also improves mood, reduces stress, and enhances cognitive function. This has the option to lead us to a better quality of life. Now husbands grab your wives, wives grab your husbands and after you all put the kids to sleep. Find yourself in each other arms getting the rest that our body needs. This is how we repay our body for the hard work that it does throughout the day.
