1. Set the Mood
Lighting: Dim the lights or turn them off completely and use candles or soft, warm lamps.
Scent: Use calming essential oils like lavender, chamomile, or eucalyptus—either in a diffuser or added directly to the bath.
Music: Play soft, ambient music or nature sounds. Spotify, YouTube, or meditation apps have great evening playlists.
2. Prepare Your Bath
Temperature: Fill the tub with warm water (not too hot to avoid dehydration).
Add Soothing Elements:
Bath salts (Epsom salt for muscle relaxation)
Bubble bath (choose sulfate-free if you have sensitive skin)
Essential oils (add a few drops diluted in a carrier oil like coconut or almond oil)
Herbs or tea bags (try chamomile, lavender, or rose petals in a muslin bag)
3. Create Comfort Outside the Tub
Fluffy towels and robe: Warm them up if possible.
Hydration: Keep a glass of cold water or herbal tea nearby.
Post-bath skincare: Have body lotion or oil ready to lock in moisture.
4. Be Present
Use this time to disconnect:
Leave your phone outside the bathroom.
Try deep breathing or a short meditation.
Focus on the sensation of the water and the scent in the air.
5. Wind Down Afterwards
Slip into comfortable pajamas.
Keep the lights low and avoid screens.
Do a calming activity like reading or journaling.
Avoid charging your phone in your room / avoid putting the television on.
Perfect time for prayers, meditation and mindfulness.
